Just a little info on the white spacer tip. If you have an 86 to 88 Savage, removing the spacer will make it run rich and foul plugs. I even tried this with a hotter plug and it did not work. It turns out the older models have a 155 main jet vice a 145 in the newer ones. I found this out when I put a carb from a 97 in my 87. The carb was running way to lean. I almost took the spacer out but, I checked the jet size first. After putting the jets in from my old carb, all was well. I'm even running a standard plug. No whoofing or farting. It even runs well on cold days.
